From Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture to a Leonard Bernstein Centennial Salute, the LA Lawyers Philharmonic & Legal Voices will celebrate their 9th season with a Concert Extraordinaire at Walt Disney Concert Hall under the baton of founder-conductor Gary S. Greene, Esq.
The concert will commemorate the 100th birthday of legendary composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein by performing his most popular works featuring songs from West Side Story, On the Town, Candide & more. Tony Award winner Michael Maguire, Esq., will be a featured soloist.
The program will include Aaron Copland’s “Promise of Living” from The Tender Land and “The Young Prince and Princess” from Scheherazade with concertmaster Michael Su as violin soloist. The orchestra and chorus will also perform the bombastic 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky.
Iconic actor Edward Asner will receive the June Lockhart Humanitarian Award, and he will deliver a narration as a tribute to Bernstein. Hon. John Mirisch will receive Honorary Membership. Radio personality Bill Handel, Esq., will MC. Jim Raycroft is the choral director.
Matthew Artson, Renée Burkett, Eric Castro, Esq., Roxy Darr, Lauren Hazarian, Esq., Hon. Curtis Kin, Mike Lambert, John J. Manier, Esq., Benjamin Natkin, Esq., Cary Jacob Simowitz, Esq., Julia C. Shear Kushner, Esq., Mary Stanford, Katrina Veldkamp, Esq., and Robert Wargo, Esq. will be soloists.

Concert tickets are $20 to $125. (50% of the ticket price is a tax-deductible donation.)

3) IN-PERSON: Go to the Box Office (111 S. Grand Avenue, LA) where there will be NO SERVICE FEES.
The Box Office hours are Tuesday-Sunday 12 noon to 6 pm. Starting June 4, the hours are Tuesday-Friday 12 noon to 5 pm. On Saturday, Sunday & Monday performances, the Box Office will open 2 hours before the event and remain open until 30 minutes after performance start time.
50% of the ticket price is a tax-deductible donation. (A portion will be donated to the LA County Bar Association Counsel for Justice and the Beverly Hills Bar Association Foundation to help those who cannot afford legal services and to the LA Lawyers Philharmonic. All are 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations.)
